EMPOWERING DIGITAL WELLNESS FOR KIDS | October 2023

Conversations with Clinicians - New Interview Series

Greetings Friend of the Lab,

Being part of Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School provides the Lab with access to some of the most innovative experts in pediatric health.

Last month, we launched a new blog series titled Conversations with Clinicians which focuses on the ways in which the digital ecosystem intersects with the overall health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults.

In this series, you will find insights from clinicians and researchers who are experts in pediatric topics, including:

  • Mental health
  • Developmental health
  • Neurology
  • Neurodivergence
  • Trauma
  • Sleep
  • Sexual health
  • Vision and hearing
  • and more!

Through the interviews with our colleagues, you’ll learn about the opportunities and challenges they see for kids growing up in a digitally-saturated world, their thoughts on changes to technology and design to make media healthier, and their guidance to help kids build and maintain healthy behaviors around digital media use.

You can read our first two interviews with Meredith Ganser, MD (psychiatry) and Jason Fogler, MD (psychology/developmental health) now! We will be releasing new interviews monthly through the year.

This series serves as an opportunity for all of us to deepen our understanding of digital wellness as a cross-disciplinary element of overall health for young people.

Read on for more news from the Lab.

Thank you!
