Angshuman Kashyap is a doctoral student in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. As a global health communication researcher, his work focuses on young people’s media use and their health and development. For his dissertation, Angshuman is focusing on how young men in India and Tanzania engage with sexual content on digital media, and how such exposure shapes their sexual health knowledge and attitudes.Angshuman has worked on a range of projects in 

Nigeria, India, Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia in the areas of maternal and child health, adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health, vaccine hesitancy, early marriage, and disability. He is also an illustrator experienced in developing context-specific health illustrations.Angshuman holds a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar, India, and a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India.
