Our 60+ current Inspired Internet Pledge (IIP) Signatories and Advisors have been hard at work conducting research, creating resources, organizing convenings, and releasing innovative new tools and tech innovations, all in pursuit of a healthier digital ecosystem for everyone, especially young people.

Research
- Youth Leadership Institute (YLI): Released the 2025 HOPE Annual Report: Building HOPE with Youth. Since 2020, HOPE Coalition has cultivated numerous research projects. In the annual report, dive deep into how HOPE utilizes youth-led research to shape policy and recommendations for youth, parents, policy makers, and industry leaders. Learn more
- Joan Ganz Cooney Center: Shared case studies from the 2025 Well-Being by Design Fellowship, capturing highlights from each fellow’s work on their products throughout the six-month period. The studies showcase how fellows have been inspired to incorporate well-being frameworks into their products and their professional growth throughout the process. Read the case studies
- Be Human(e): Expanding research from digital wellbeing into human/robot interaction in family life. Building on our Emotionally Intelligent Usage of Technology framework, Be Human(s) is working with Shosa Lab from Japan to develop evidence-based pathways for AI-guided parenting support, and launching cross-cultural studies in Asia, beginning with collaborators in Japan, South Korea, and China, to study how families bond with robotic companions while ensuring these technologies enhance rather than replace healthy development.
- Wipro: Concluded the first controlled study on the impact of microbreaks in Trust & Safety content moderation. Findings show that short, structured breaks significantly improve wellbeing, focus, and task accuracy in moderation decisions—directly contributing to safer digital experiences for youth. This research was presented at The Learning Ideas Conference 2025 (watch video) and has been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed Springer journal.
- Aura: Released “The Overconnected Kids” report examining AI, kids, and digital stress, which is generating significant media coverage and industry discussion. Access the report

- Snap: Launched The Keys, a comprehensive resource platform. Explore The Keys
- Scroll by Choice: Launched a new Maven course, “Quit Doomscrolling. Find Success and Well-Being” designed to help individuals build healthier screen habits and can be adapted for workplace wellness programs.
- Pinterest: Launched the (Me)dia Mindfulness board, providing curated resources for mindful media consumption.
- YLI: Released Social Media Diaries: Social Media Comparisons, featuring insights collected by HOPE youth leaders about user behaviors, activity, and experiences across different social media platforms. Youth leaders reflected on their social media use frequency, mental health and wellness, social media comparison content, and community engagement. - Next Gen Men: Collaborated with Equimundo and Cosmow to create “Unlock You!” – a two-player Roblox game that centers messages of positive masculinity, mental health, and healthy relationships in a familiar and engaging online environment. Play Unlock You!
Innovations
- Scroll by Choice: Selected by Mercer Island School District to support their phone-free initiative across middle and high schools, facilitating programming for administrators and parents to strengthen digital wellness at both school and family levels. Also became a SHRM Recertification Provider, allowing HR professionals to earn credits while learning strategies to foster healthier digital cultures.
- PRIVO: Preparing for the soft launch of their Minors Protection Registry™, offering free enrollments for parents and pilot programs for corporate subscribers to receive “age-aware™” signals. The initiative aims to dramatically lower the number of children who gain access to platforms, sites, apps, and features for which they don’t meet the minimum age requirements, helping companies enforce their own Terms of Service while providing teachable moments about why truth-in-age matters online.
- Wipro: Developed and deployed AIRA, an AI-powered Resilience Assistant designed specifically for content moderators. AIRA offers immediate, first-line wellbeing support through private, scalable conversations, with human-in-the-loop escalation for high-risk cases. By sustaining moderator mental health, AIRA strengthens the systems that keep young people safe online. AIRA was showcased at TSPA TrustCon 2025 as an innovation in Trust & Safety workforce resilience.
Convenings
- Pinterest: Hosted the first Inspired Internet Pledge (IIP) Researcher Roundtable, featuring research from Daron Sharps, Global Thought Leadership Research Lead. More than 30 participants from across IIP signatories and advisors joined the virtual conversation, engaging in Q&A, group discussions, and planning for future collaborative efforts.
- YLI: Hosted quarterly HOPE General Coalition meeting on September 16th, bringing together statewide prevention leaders, youth, and youth-serving organizations to strategize building safe online spaces for youth free of harmful social media exposures.
Collaborations
- Scroll by Choice: Partnering with the City of Redmond to offer a new after-school program for tweens introducing them to AI tools while blending in Digital Wellness principles to promote critical thinking and ethical use.
- Next Gen Men: Presenting “What Educators Aren’t Saying About Andrew Tate” workshop for educators at the Healthy Teen Network annual conference in Atlanta in October.
- Pinterest: Planning to co-sponsor a thought leadership/panel discussion in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 with Ready Set Screen.

- YLI is looking for guest speakers for their General Meeting to present research, campaigns, or media projects, particularly focusing on AI, Media Literacy, Mental Health, and Wellbeing.
- Next Gen Men seeks masculine-identifying youth in Grades 7-11 to join their Youth Advisory Council expansion for the NGM Alliance Discord server project. Learn more and enroll here
- Aura is conducting their TECHWISE research study and seeking participants ages 8-17. Learn more and join now
- Roblox has launched applications for their next Teen Council cohort. They are looking for up to 20 young people from across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, between the ages of 14 to 17 years old who are passionate, creative, and familiar with our platform. Ideal candidates will also be social media savvy and have experience building community. Learn more and apply here by 9/29.
- The Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop has opened applications for the 2026 Well-Being by Design Fellowship! Now in its third year, this professional development program supports mid-career designers of kids’ tech and media products who are reimagining digital experiences for kids and families with wellbeing at the center.
