Graduate Student Intern
Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital

Edith Wang brings a background in Psychology and Film and Media Studies from Emory University (BS) and an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to her time at the Lab, she worked as an educational consultant supporting international high school students and as a teacher for students with autism—experiences that shaped her interest in how adolescents’ media habits influence their mental health and overall wellbeing.

At the Digital Wellness Lab, Edith collaborates closely with Dr. Michael Carter on refining existing theoretical frameworks through preliminary research, thematic coding, and the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. She also contributes to prompt engineering using generative AI tools to support clinical chart reviews.

Edith is particularly interested in the role of emerging technologies in improving accessibility to media literacy and digital citizenship education, with the goal of fostering more inclusive and developmentally informed learning environments for youth.
