Reflect on Your Media Habits

This conversation game is designed to help kids and adults notice and reflect on patterns in their online experiences, explore what shapes their screen habits, and build awareness and a shared language around digital wellbeing. There are no right or wrong answers, nor is the game about enforcing rules. The goal is simple: reflect honestly and listen openly.

How to Play

1) Start by selecting the decks for who’s playing: Kids, Grown-Ups, Caregivers, or any combination. Then hit Start Playing button.

2) Each round, a scenario appears with a label showing who it’s for. That person answers first, then everyone else can weigh in. There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is to reflect honestly and listen openly.*

For each scenario, you’ll choose from two types of response cards:

Feelings: How does this make you feel? Pick the feeling that fits you most honestly, or name your own out loud.

Actions: What would you do? Pick the response that feels most true to you, or name your own out loud.

3) Once everyone has chosen, discuss your answers. Why did you pick what you picked? Would anyone choose differently? Conversation prompts appear after each round if you need a nudge.

4) Play five rounds, then close out with a few reflection questions together.

A few final questions

Take a moment to reflect on what came up during the game.

Did anyone choose something that surprised the rest of the group?
Is there a response you’d want to try next time something like this happens?
What did you learn about yourself?
What did you learn about each other?
Have you noticed any patterns in how you use your devices?
When does that pattern feel balanced? When does it feel less balanced?
What does balanced digital use look like in your family?
