Priscilla (Xiaoxuan) Liu, PhD, RN, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Digital Wellness Lab. A nurse by training, Dr. Liu recently earned her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She brings a strong clinical perspective and a dedication to adolescent health promotion to her research, applying a bioecological approach to examine digital media use as a modifiable health behavior and its impact on mental health, subjective wellbeing, sleep, and family dynamics. She is passionate about translating evidence-based research into actionable strategies that empower young people, families, and clinicians.
Having drawn long-standing inspiration from the Digital Wellness Lab’s vision and research throughout her doctoral studies, Dr. Liu is thrilled to join the team. In her role, she will collaborate with Dr. Zhiying (Zoey) Yue on a funded study examining the complex relationships among adolescent gaming, social connection, and wellbeing, while supporting the Lab’s broader mission to advance digital wellness for young people.
