Media Use Plan
A family media plan helps everyone discuss their screen habits and reflect on what matters most, so you can build routines and support balance, connection, and wellbeing, together.

Make sure to collect a stamp in your Digital Wellness Passport when you’ve finished this activity!
How It Works
Step 1: Build Your Individual Media Maps
Take about 5 minutes to fill out your own media map—one for kids, one for grown ups. Reflect on your own relationship with technology: what you enjoy, what feels like too much, and what you’d like to change.
Step 2: Share
Share one thing from your individual map that surprised you, or that you’d like the other person to know.
Step 3: Create Your Family Media Plan
Working together, use what your individual media map to build a plan that works for everyone.
Step 4: Make a Plan to Check In
Your media map is a living document. Before you move onto the next activity, take a minute to agree on how often you’ll revisit it together as things change (e.g., on family vacations, during the summer, etc.)
