Problematic Interactive Media Use (PIMU) is an escalating adolescent health concern necessitating contemporary screening tools. This study defines and validates an innovative screener that assesses functional issues and associated media use behaviors, moving away from a focus on potentially stigmatizing attentional, behavioral, or cognitive deficits of adolescents.
